Layang-layang Island

Layang-layang Island is a man-made island. It is located in 165 miles northwest of Kota Kinabalu. This island was created in 1991 from a coral atoll in the South China Sea. This island is a major tourist attraction especially appealing to scuba divers. The 5,000 to 6,000 foot drop around the reef makes it an excellent diving place. For overnight stay, there are many chalets available.
