Rafflesia - The World Largest Flower

The world's largest flower, a three foot-wide bloom that smells like rotting flesh, can have a diameter up to one meter and can weigh up to 10 kilograms.
Rafflesia is a genus of parasitic flowers. Its smell attracts the carrion flies that pollinate the rare plant in its native habitat. While many parasites appear like normal plants, Rafflesia lacks any observable leaves, roots, or even stems (Meijer, 1993).
